Audra Santos is the Vice President of Credit Union Lending and a Branch Manager at Norcom Mortgage.  She is a top producer in the lending industry and has more than 20+ years of experience.  She has extensive knowledge in various products, programs and processes which allows for a highly communicative and collaborative lending experience. She lives by the philosophy of “People Helping People” and “Changing Lives” which makes her a tremendous partner in the credit union community.  She shares the core values of honesty and integrity which are fundamental requirements when working with members and mortgages.

At Norcom Mortgage, we are a direct lender and have an in house team of processors, underwriters, closers and funders.  We are also direct servicers for FHA, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. This broad platform allows us to offer a full product mix with an understanding of the importance of a diverse product base.  What does that mean to the customer?  We have access to many programs that will help our clients without all the overlays that hinder you from mortgage qualification.  Our dedicated team and operations department are staffed by some of the most experienced and knowledgeable industry professionals.  We strive for quick closings, client satisfaction and creating lifelong customers.

In the late 1990’s I had just finished my M.B.A in marketing and management while working for a Medical Device organization. I thought my long term goals was to work in corporate America and navigate through various channels of management.  Shortly thereafter, an event happened that would change my career choice forever.  At the time, one of my employees whom I had considered to be a friend, was having a bad experience with her mortgage application and asked for my help.  I then accompanied her to sit down with her credit union to discuss the issues at hand and referred them to a reputable mortgage company to aid in this process.  Ultimately, this same company would later go on to recruit me to join their organization.  At the time, I made the choice to move into the mortgage industry and have never looked back.  I truly enjoy helping borrowers buy their first home and help them pay off debt to live a better life.  I enjoy lifting people up and putting a smile on their face.  Mortgages is not my job, it is my career and I love what I do.

Audra has worked with credit unions and members for her entire career and demonstrates her passion for mortgages in the relationships she has built throughout the years. She describes her experience in her career as being a part of a movement, instead of being strictly in the mortgage industry. She is dedicated to working together to improve quality of life for everyone; even if its just guiding customers on making better decisions for their future.

Audra adheres to practices designed to safeguard the customer’s best interest. She subscribes to the Code of Ethics and Best Lending Practices guidelines as set forth by the National Association of Mortgage Bankers.  Audra is part of the Credit Union League of Connecticut, Greater Bridgeport Board of Realtors, Monroe Chamber of Commerce, National Association of Professional Mortgage Women and supports financial literacy by volunteering in Reality Fairs.  In addition she is also part of the Connecticut Credit Union Executive Education program.
